Historically known as The McIntyre House, The Marie Bed and Breakfast is one of the finest examples of Queen Anne style architecture in West Olympia. Built in 1892 by Mr. J.R. McIntyre, the home remained in the ownership of his descendants until the 1980’s. Since the conception of The Marie, extensive work has been done inside and out to transform the grounds into an historical oasis amid modern surroundings.

Two private cottages have been constructed, offering exquisite additional lodging options. The “Oak” cottage is ADA accessible, featuring a large and luxurious double shower. My name’s Joanna and I’m a wife, mama, artist, and chef. I’ve felt at home in the kitchen for as long as I can remember. I have fond memories spent there as a child, whipping up dishes of curious ingredients, trying my best to come up with edible creations. And these days, I cook and create both for my own joy and professionally as both a food blogger and the resident sourdough lady at the Marie Bed & Breakfast. Outside the kitchen, I manage the administrative, human resources, accounting, and graphic design work for the businesses at the West Central Park Neighborhood Center.
